Fourteen women entrepreneurs of different business and professional backgrounds attended the round table organized by NGO Lady/Wominnovation Kosovo. They promised to start working together.

Exchange of experiences between women entrepreneurs and those females who want to be part of the business milieu in Kosovo was the primary focus of the round table with female entrepreneurs organized by NGO Lady/Wominnovation Kosovo. This round table, according to Sanije Murati executive director of NGO Lady, is held with the intention to bring new energy and new women in the Kosovo businesess environment.

Doing business together 
“Think what we could do and please give your proposals about what women in business need”, said Murati to the fourteen gathered female entrepreneurs. Murati also asked them to focus on how they can do business with one another.
In this round table Wominnovation Kosovo was promoted through various printed materials and the experience gained by Sanije Murati during the study visit trip to Norway in November 2011.
“I want to know what you need, what do you plan on how you can elevate your business or transform your hobbies into business that you can do in the future”, asked Murati

Promoting cooperation between businesswomen
This debate by the participating young women is considered as very useful especially in connecting women that are in business or want to start up their own companies. This meeting by Nita Zeqiri is considered a great opportunity to create new contacts in business. Zeqiri has a degree in business marketing, but currently works as a photographer, and at the round table she came as an aspiring female entrepreneur.
“This debate organized today with businesswomen is a great thing because earlier we didn’t know each other and now we shared our experiences and I believe that much cooperation’s will start here from this meeting”, said Zeqiri who also creates handmade jewellery.

Female entrepreneurs need assistance
Female entrepreneur Valbona Murati from “Vali dizajn” said that she is very satisfied with the round table meeting. “It is in our interest to be in contact and these meetings are more than needed for us to enlarge our businesses”, she said while adding that female entrepreneurs in Kosovo need material assistance.

Bleta Zeqirian English language teacher from Prishtina says that she did not know other women in business. “And the reason why I like these meetings is that here I meet new people and currently I am working with 20 people that I met in meetings like this one”, said Zeqiri who runs a chocolate candy shop ‘Leonidas’ that sells mainly imported Belgian chocolates.

Key to the success of the gathered female entrepreneurs is cooperation and knowing each other in round tables. During the round table organized by NGO lady/Wominnovation Kosovo they expressed their interest in taking part in future meeting and debates that would enhance their presence in the Kosovo business. This is the first activity of NGO Lady from Pristina that is one of the 4 partners of Wominnovation Kosovo.
