Preparing a business plan

Six business ideas proposed by 11 participants were used during the practical training “Preparation of a Business Plan” organized in Mitrovica by the Association of Women SABOR.

In a practical workshop on the “Preparation of a Business Plan”, organized by Association of Women SABOR were present 11 entrepreneurs from Mitrovica. The group of 8 women and 4 men during the training were introduced to methods how to have success in a transitional economy. The specific goal of this practical training according to trainer Tijana Grujić was to support participants in developing and writing their own business plans.

Grujić delivered the tailored-made composed training mainly with group practical exercises. This practical training consisted of three modules:  Business Plan Preparation; Narrative and Financial parts and Practical work.

“The overall objective of these training sessions was to prepare guidelines on business plan preparation and other related subjects which were considered as useful for private business inexperienced training participants”, said trainer Tijana Grujić  adding that the training material was tailored and adapted according to the needs of the participants.

Tijana Grujićdemonstrated to the present potential entrepreneurs how to develop and improve their entrepreneurship skills. Participants of this training were from Mitrovica, Zvecan and the surrounding villages. None of the participants prepared before a business plan while only three of them tried to start their business – added Grujić.  She worked together with the participants on the steps towards understanding the basics of business planning. The expected outcome of the training, according to Grujić, was to develop individual business plans by participants.

Brainstorming for business ideas
During brainstorming process at the training – participants came out with around 10 business ideas and only 6 of them were prepared as business proposals. These business ideas varied from cultivation of vegetables and cheese production to decorations, and services such as ironing and washing clothes.

During the training participants acquired solid knowledge about preparation of a business plan that t will help them in future in managing small business and business planning.
