The seven participants at the communication and presentation training organized by STIKK/Wominnovation expressed their satisfaction with the knowledge gained and expressed the desire to be part of future Wominnovation activities.

Tips on how to improve communication and presentation skills were presented to 7 potential female entrepreneurs during the training “Communication and Presentation Skills”, organized by STIKK/Wominnovation Kosovo. Participants at this training were introduced to methods how to improve their communication skills whether at the university in front of the lecturer, in an informal setting, or during a presentation of a business idea.

The practical training “Communication and presentation skills” was held by Gjergj Filipaj a seasoned journalist from Pristina with a background in journalism education and communication.  Filipaj introduced them also to the Wominnovation Kosovo project through various print materials.

The seven participants – mainly students at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (FIEK) found the training useful during their everyday work and studies. An interesting part for the present potential female entrepreneurs was the body language – communicating without words only with signs. The group of seven female entrepreneurs were especially interested in knowing how they could spread the business idea to new potential clients and donors. Among topics that were taught were also the enhancement of the needed skills required for the presentation of services or products offered and made by female entrepreneurs

For Shqiponjë Bicaj, a 22 years old student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the training was very useful and it offered a lot of information to the participants. “After we graduate we will need to do many presentations and I think that many of the tips given we will use in the future”, says Shqiponjë adding that every person needs to present itself as best as it can when communicating.

Another student of FIEK – Mirjeta Lekaj defined the training as very useful. “Normally in our profession we have been taught theory and we need to upgrade our presentation for ourselves. A good presentation is the basis of everything”, says Mirjeta adding that she liked especially the interactivity between the trainer and the participants.

Vesa Mataj that participated in the training said that she learned quite some new issues related to communication and presentation. “I will apply all this knowledge in my future work”, added Mataj. While for her colleague Flutura Morina 22 years old student at FIEK the training was successful. “I think that this training needs to be repeated once more. I think that communication is very important in everyday life and work. I found interesting especially the active listening section”. Trainings like this one are quite important for potential female entrepreneurs from since with enhanced communication and presentation skill they can become interesting to potential partners and clients.
