In the first half of 2012 Wominnovation Kosovo partner organizations had a busy schedule. Four non-governmental organizations held 6 activities reaching 67 businesswomen and potential female entrepreneurs from Kosovo.

Five different debates, activities, roundtable and one workshop have been organized by four local partners of Wominnovation Kosovo with the intention of assisting women to start their own companies and become business leaders.

These activities reached different profiles of Kosovo women including females that are currently finishing their university studies, women engaged in production of handicrafts, female entrepreneurs focused in fashion design and other women that aspire to become future entrepreneurs.
These six activities, one of which is on-going also tend to connect female entrepreneur with one another in order to create a network of businesses owned by women.

Exchange of experiences
Exchange of know-hows between female entrepreneurs and women who want to be part of the business environment was the main focus of the round table with 15 female entrepreneurs organized by NGO Lady/Wominnovation Kosovo. This round table was held with the intention to bring fresh energy and new women in the Kosovo businesess environment.

NGO CBM from Mitrovica is one of the 4 Wominnovation Kosovo partner organizations 

NGO CBM – another partner of Wominovation Kosovo brought together seven female entrepreneurs from Mitrovica to discuss how they could enhance their business potential by expanding their products and services to a wider range of clients.

Learning to write a business plan
Association of Women SABOR another partner of Wominnovation Kosovo from Mitrovica organized a practical workshop for 11 women and 3 men that offered a mix of practical exercises and lectures. The workshop helped participants to gain knowledge that will help them to easily develop business preparation and to start a private business in future.
CBM and SABOR organized a joint activity in Mitrovica where they gathered ten Albanian and Serbian female entrepreneurs from Mitrovica. This jointly organized activity was held to make women discuss about their position in the business of Mitrovica.

Promoting internationally Wominovation Kosovo
Kosovo Association of Information and Communication Technology (STIKK), partner of Wominnovation Kosovo organized two activities. The first one was promotion of Wominnovation Kosovo concept in CeBIT conference. The second activity of STIKK was motivational speech training offered to nineteen potential female entrepreneurs – mainly undergraduate students of the third year at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (FIEK).

On-going and future activities of Wominnovation Kosovo
Community Building Mitrovica (CBM) has an on-going practical workshop dedicated for women who want to learn use Facebook to promote their products. While the future activities of Wominnovation Kosovo include the organization of an training on “Marketing plans and sales skills,” which is organized on May 17 2012  by the Association of Women SABOR from Mitrovica one of the local partners of Wominnovation Kosovo.

Another future activity of Wominnovation Kosovo is a meeting with business women from the Dragash region. This activity is planned by NGO Lady and it is about business communication and networking with women of this area.
